Trinity stands firm on Biblical Standards for Ordination despite PC(USA) vote
“We at Trinity are deeply grieved that Amendment 10-A has passed. For us, it’s a very sad day for the PC(USA). Nevertheless, we trust the Lord in all things.
We are providing some resources that can help you understand what is going on and how Trinity is responding.
Trinity does not support this change. We will not change our standards in considering people for church leadership. This vote does NOT compel us to change anything in our own congregation. Please read and consider the following items:
- The comments of elder Jamie Brown made on behalf of our Trinity session in the worship services on May 1, 2011.
- The letter from the Trinity session sent first-class to our members and Trinity friends on May 3, 2011
- The letter from the Rev. Dr. Jim Singleton of the 4,000 member First Presbyterian Church, Colorado Springs that we included with our letter. It gives more background on the vote and information about an upcoming meeting in August that some of our pastors and elders are attending.
