Write a short text or email to someone you know is struggling right now. Ask if there is any way in which you can help. Encourage them with a prayer, story or positive thought

Read

Galatians 6:1-2

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Reflect

  1. What does it look like to restore a person gently? Are we willing to lovingly confront others in their sin?
  1. How can we take care to guard our hearts and minds when it comes to peer temptation.
  1. Prayer is a powerful way in which we can lift up our burdens to the Lord. What other ways can we help each other relieve our burden?

Apply

Journal about a time you were approached by someone or a time you confronted someone. What did that situation look like? Was it restoring? If not, why?

Pray

Lord father, thank you for giving us the ability to come together in community, we pray that you would give us wisdom and grace, patiences and perspective. Give us the strength to lift up each other’s burdens. Amen
