WHAT OUR TEAM HAS DONE SO FAR....
Dear Trinity Family,
With the situation around us deteriorating daily—even moment by moment—we are all struggling to “find our horizon point” keeping our eyes fixed on the Lord. Your Trinity Ministry Team and church leaders will continue to do everything in God’s power to provide ministry and resources in the coming days and weeks. While the campus is closed and activities are postponed until further notice, ministry continues.
We are live streaming our Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall services every Sunday at 9AM on our website and Facebook. We were thrilled that, to the best of our analysis, over 1,000 viewers tuned in this past Sunday. Bless the Lord! Please remember, as one pastor said, “This is a temporary compromise, not a permanent convenience.” Social distancing is an expression of love and wisdom for these times, but not a lifestyle that nurtures a community fully alive in Christ.
Watch for updates on our app and website. We will post regularly, sometimes daily, messages and ways to connect virtually.
I hope you will share my blog and sermon on “Containing the Fear Virus.” Watch for my weekly blogs (posted on Mondays at 11AM) as I post practical messages to inspire faith and hope in these desperate days. You can access both from our website and app.
I have found the prayer of King Jehoshaphat very helpful lately. Overwhelmed when three separate armies were attacking Judah, he cried out to the Lord, “…For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV). If we replace the word “army” with “enemy,” we have a wonderful expression of faith for today.
Dearest Trinity sisters and brothers, you are in our prayers daily. May our Lord shower his grace and mercy on us, our community, state, nation and world. Amen? Amen!
Doug Rumford, Lead Pastor
