Safe Families

Education

Adult ESL classes for all levels in a warm and nurturing environment.

Focusing on students at Foothill High School—making a different for Christ in the performance of athletics.
Providing an after school program that nurtures academic success in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Homelessness

Ministering the love of Jesus Christ to the least, the last and the lost.
Providing shelter, food and clothing in Jesus’ name to abused and homeless women and children.
Creating extended family through volunteers motivated by faith to keep children safe and families intact.
Providing services to low-income and homeless individuals and families to enable self-sufficiency.
Eliminating inadequate and poverty housing as a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Assisting homeless and low-income people regain stability and self-sufficiency.
Providing temporary housing to homeless families at church facilities along with resources from the congregation.
Providing a temporary Christian home to teenagers in crisis and seeking reconciliation with their families.

Compassion & Support

Providing a caring environment for pregnant minors who choose to carry their babies to term.
Bringing hope, comfort and encouragement to the families of those with same sex attraction.
Programming for jail inmates to bring about change of character, attitude and behavior through Jesus.
Bringing compassionate medical and support services to women facing unplanned pregnancies.
Creating homes for the developmentally disabled where faithful relationships are nurtured.

Students from countries around the world share their cultures while learning English in our free, small-sized, adult English classes (ESL). Everyone is welcome.

Laura Macias

Director of Missional Engagement

Laura was born in Cuba and grew up in Spain before moving to the U.S. in grade school. She was a public school teacher for over 15 years, and in 2010, Laura and her family served with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Central America. She also served with the leadership team of the International Orality Network overseeing secondary orality. Most recently, she was the executive director of JOYA Scholars, a non-profit organization that prepares students from low-income communities for college. Laura and her husband, Tony, have three adult children. Reading biographies and drinking dark roast coffee bring her incredible joy.
